1. How can you help me?

Silver Switch has built itself from the ground up as a full-service audio production and recording facility. We aim to fully address any audio or music requirement you may have. If you feel that your need goes beyond what we have listed, feel free to reach us because chances are, we can still help you out or point you to someone who can.

 

2. Can you cast session musicians or voice talents for my requirement?
Having been involved in the music industry for more than a decade now, we have built ties with artists and talents from all over, that we can tap for your particular need. Once you have booked with us, we can then provide you with all the help you require to get the talent suited for your requirement.
3. Can you compose backing tracks for my song?
Definitely! We can help you compose and produce original backing tracks in any style or genre you want!
4. What is the online option you talk about in the site?
We provide a dedicated directory for each of our clients use during our projects, complete with password protection. This allows file transfer to and from the studio to you, allowing a seamless exchange to make the most of your time and to avoid the time it eats up to travel and pick up your files.
5. Are there internet facilities at the studio?
Yes. Clients are able to log on to our wireless internet at the studio.
6. Can we light up or drink in the studio?

We are sorry but you cannot. To keep the studio fresh and to protect our gear and the recording environment, we do not allow smoking or drinking inside the studio.

We shall have a designated area outside the studio for smoking but drinking will not be allowed inside or outside the main studio premises.

7. How much time should we book for our project?

There are so many factors to consider that it is different from one client to another. Please feel free to contact us so we can have an idea on your need and we can work something out.

If you are a musician, you can also opt to avail of our recording packages to avoid the pressures of hourly recording and have the studio to yourselves secured to your time.

8. If we opt for the band recording package, how long can we go for it?

As musicians ourselves, we have created packages because we understand how hourly recording can put too much pressure on our creativity and approach. But we also have to accommodate people who are lined up. Rest-assured, that we have tailored our packages to give you enough time to let loose and record but at the same time have some limits to put some focus in your recording. Trust us, you'll thank us in the end.

9. What is the current availability of the studio?

10. What is the typical recording process?
As requirements vary from one to the next, we tailor our services per project, to directly address the needs of our client. With this, you can be assured that we not only get to work for you but with you.
11. What do I need to bring to a recording session?
It varies depending on the material and recording requirement. For musicians, most will bring some choice pieces from their personal drum kit, guitars, picks, sticks, batteries, drum skins, lyric sheets, paper, reference material, and others. All booked in bands for recording receive an info packet for details on their booking and the studio.
12. Can we use our own producer/engineer/director/voice actors?
Definitely! Just advise us when you are booking in your session.
13. What if we go beyond the booked time?
You can either book additional time or opt to go for our standard hourly rate provided that the studio can accommodate.
14. Can I cancel my session?
Yes. But unfortunately, deposits are non-refundable.
15. How will my completed recordings/output be supplied?
We can supply your recordings on CD-R or DVD-R. We can also transfer via your external hard disc or you can opt to go for our online transfer.
16. How much will it cost us to record at Silver Switch?
Please contact us to receive an accurate quote for your requirement.
17. What payment methods do you accept?
We accept bank transfers, cash, or cheques.
18. What are your payment terms?
We require a 50% downpayment upfront with the balance payable upon completion prior to final delivery of the project. Special payment terms can be discussed for some corporate clients.
19. Are you open on holidays?
Most of the time. But please contact us so we can guarantee availability on a particular holiday.
20. Do you hold workshops for people who want to get into production?
Yes! Please send us an email here or via our contact page on what particular area you are interested in. We usually hold music production sessions from composition, remixing, etc.
21. Do you accept work trainees?
Unfortunately, no. Sorry.
